This orchestra meeting seeks to create a space for artistic training where students and young professionals can deepen their knowledge with international masters of orchestral music. As a result of the training received in the master classes, they form a symphony orchestra that will perform a varied repertoire ranging from Johannes Brahms and George Gershwin to Latin American composers Heitor Villa-Lobos and Alberto Ginastera.
Este año, la Orquesta NEOJIBA será la principal invitada a esta Academia de Orquestas Latinoamericanas, y contará además con la presencia de profesores y estudiantes de Iberacademy y Sinfonía por el Perú, liderados por el maestro brasilero Ricardo Castro.

ORCHESTRA
Neojiba
Creado en 2007, NEOJIBA (Centros Estatales de Orquestas Juveniles e Infantiles de Bahía) promueve el desarrollo y la integración social principalmente de niños, niñas y jóvenes en situación de vulnerabilidad, a través de la enseñanza y la práctica musical colectiva. El programa es mantenido por el Gobierno del Estado de Bahía, vinculado a la Secretaría de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, y gestionado por el Instituto de Desarrollo Social a través de la Música. En estos años, NEOJIBA ha atendido, directa e indirectamente, a más de 24 mil niños, niñas y jóvenes entre 6 y 29 años. Actualmente, beneficia a más de 2 mil 300 socios directos en sus 13 centros en Salvador y otras 6 ciudades al interior de Bahía, y a 6 mil indirectamente en apoyo a iniciativas musicales asociadas.
NEOJIBA sostiene que la práctica artística es un vehículo para el desarrollo humano y debe ser accesible a todos los ciudadanos. Para ello, la práctica y enseñanza musical colectiva son las principales herramientas que utiliza para trabajar valores como la cooperación, respeto, solidaridad y disciplina. En sus centros, las actividades regulares de práctica instrumental y canto coral son gratuitas, y se realizan a través de un proceso de formación continuo junto a profesionales de las más prestigiosas instituciones de Brasil y el mundo.
DIRECTOR
Ricardo Castro
Nacido en Vitória da Conquista, una pequeña ciudad al noreste de Brasil, empezó a tocar el piano a los 3 años.
Viajó a Europa en 1984 para estudiar piano y dirección de orquesta en el Conservatorio de Música de Ginebra con Maria Tipo y Arpad Gerecz, respectivamente. Fue alumno también de Dominique Merlet en París.
En 2003, junto a la destacada pianista Maria João Pires, realizaron una serie de recitales en Europa y lanzaron un CD con obras de Franz Schubert en Deutsche Grammophon.
Ha tocado y dirigido en las salas de concierto más prestigiosas del mundo como el Barbican Centre y el Queen Elizabeth Hall de Londres, Santa Cecilia de Roma, la Philharmonie de París y el Concertgebouw de Amsterdam. Entre sus colaboradores se encuentran Sir Simon Rattle, Midori, Leif Segerstam, Martha Argerich, Antonio Meneses, Yakov Kreizberg, Kazimierz Kord, Jean- Yves Thibaudet, Maria João Pires y Shlomo Mintz.
En 2007, Ricardo Castro fue invitado por el Gobierno del Estado de Bahía a crear NEOJIBA (Centros de Orquestas Juveniles e Infantiles del Estado de Bahía), pionero en Brasil. Actualmente es el director general de este programa, el que en 2018 acogió a 5 mil niños y jóvenes del Estado de Bahía.
En 2013, Ricardo Castro se convirtió en el primer brasileño en recibir el título Miembro Honorario de la Royal Philharmonic Society, que lo situó entre los grandes de la música occidental.

Symphony for Peru
Esta organización sin fines de lucro, liderada por el tenor peruano Juan Diego Flórez, desarrolla su labor para generar procesos de transformación social mediante la enseñanza colectiva de la música.
En sus núcleos ubicados en distintos lugares del territorio peruano, niñas, niños y jóvenes reciben formación orientada a forjar habilidades para la vida, competencias artísticas, así como para la práctica de valores y formación en ciudadanía. En estos espacios, se estimula la convivencia, el sentido de comunidad, excelencia, desarrollo integral y formación artística.
Gracias a su trabajo, sus beneficiarios encuentran un lugar de protección y desarrollo, y se convierten en agentes de cambio para la sociedad. Actualmente, atiende a más de 6 mil niños, niñas y jóvenes en 10 regiones de Perú.

Iberacademy
La Academia Filarmónica Iberoamericana –Iberacademy-, es un programa de desarrollo humano basado en la excelencia musical, dedicado a ofrecer oportunidades a jóvenes talentos de Latinoamérica, facilitando experiencias encaminadas a motivar, inspirar y formar líderes transformadores de la sociedad, a través de la práctica orquestal, la pedagogía y el emprendimiento creativo.
Fundado desde hace más de una década por el director de orquesta colombiano, Alejandro Posada, tiene su sede en la ciudad de Medellín, Colombia, y en estos años ha expandido su impacto a 35 municipios de Antioquia y a 5 países de Latinoamérica.
Este programa dedicado a la formación personal, profesional y artística del talento joven latinoamericano desarrolla programas de interpretación musical, pedagogía y emprendimiento creativo. Uno de sus proyectos más destacados es In Crescendo: Programa Crecimiento Musical por Antioquia y Latinoamérica, que brinda acompañamiento pedagógico y artístico a las escuelas de música y otras instituciones de 55 municipios de Antioquia y cuatro países de Sudamérica. A través de la música y su alto impacto social, trabaja por la transformación y bienestar de sus comunidades.

On the day of the show, the box office will be open until 15 minutes before the show starts.
- The doors of Teatro del Lago open 45 minutes before the start of the show.
- Once the show has begun, access to the hall will not be allowed.
- Ticket exchanges will be made up to 48 hours before the show.
- Ticket returns are accepted up to 7 days prior to the show.
- The refund percentage will correspond to 50% of the total value of the ticket.
- No food or beverages are allowed in the room.
- Children 2 years of age and older are allowed in the room.
- Parents are responsible for their children's behavior in the classroom.
- No photography or recording is allowed inside the room.
- Tickets purchased are the sole responsibility of the person making the purchase.

- For any show, we welcome children from 2 years of age. However, we recommend you to check the suggested age of each show before making your purchase.
All persons -including children-, must have the corresponding ticket to enter the theater.
It is the sole responsibility of the parents the behavior of the children during the course of the show.
We have a cloakroom service.
Upon entering the Theater and at each access door to the theater, you will find our team of guides, who, taking all the precautions corresponding to the existing sanitary measures, will help you find your seat and provide general information about the show and the available services.
We are very punctual. All our shows start at the announced time. This is why we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early, to avoid traffic at the entrance to the city and delays in finding your seat.
You can use them before and after the show, when you are not in the theater. Once in your seat, you must mute and lower the brightness of any type of electronic device (cell phone, tablet, camera, video, among others) because the light and sound of these, distracts and interrupts the artists on stage.
The program can be downloaded to your cell phone through a QR that will be available at the entrance of the room. You will be able to check it during the show.
