Clases magistrales -del 2 al 5 de septiembre- y conciertos -el 6 y 7 de septiembre- son algunas de las actividades que se desarrollarán en esta tercera versión de La Semana Internacional de la Guitarra que este año convocará a cuatro artistas de renombre mundial.
La Semana Internacional de la Guitarra es un evento que se realiza en colaboración con Fundación Guitarra Viva. El corazón de esta semana reside en las clases magistrales que se imparten a jóvenes músicos a través de una convocatoria abierta, provenientes de diversos países de Latinoamérica, quienes reciben consejos técnicos, estilísticos y culturales de destacados docentes y guitarristas de renombre internacional. Estas sesiones educativas no sólo brindan a sus participantes la oportunidad de aprender, sino que también fomentan el intercambio de ideas y experiencias entre los jóvenes guitarristas, enriqueciendo su formación artística, la que culmina en conciertos en uno de los escenarios más importantes al sur del mundo.

CHINA
BEIJING GUITAR DUO
Las guitarristas Meng Su y Yameng Wang, el Beijing Guitar Duo, han actuado en todo el mundo en salas como el Concertgebouw, el Palau de la Música, la Sala Tchaikovsky y el Teatro Nacional de Pekín.
Las actuaciones y grabaciones del Beijing Guitar Duo han impresionado al público con “una habilidad y artística que supera sus años”. Su primer álbum, Maracaípe, recibió una nominación al Latin GRAMMY por la pieza titular, dedicada a ellos por el renombrado guitarrista y compositor Sergio Assad. Su segundo álbum, Bach to Tan Dun, ha sido ampliamente elogiado por la grabación en primicia mundial de Eight Memories in Watercolor de Tan Dun, especialmente arreglada para el dúo por Manuel Barrueco. En mayo de 2014, lanzaron una grabación en trío, China West, con el Maestro Barrueco.
Además de dar conciertos, el dúo comparte el amor por la enseñanza, lo que los lleva a importantes conservatorios del mundo para dar clases magistrales y para ser jueces en competiciones. El dúo fue Artista en Residencia de 2011 a 2015 para San Francisco Performances, lo que los llevó al Área de la Bahía dos semanas al año para actividades comunitarias, presentaciones y clases magistrales en escuelas públicas, así como para el Conservatorio de San Francisco.
AUSTRALIA
STEPHANIE JONES
Solista y músico de cámara de renombre mundial que se especializa en interpretación de guitarra clásica. Obtuvo su licenciatura con honores de primera clase en la Australian National University bajo la orientación de Tim Kain y Minh le Hoang, así como una maestría y Konzertexamen en la University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar con el Prof. Thomas Müller-Pering. Actualmente reside en Alemania y enseña en la Universität Augsburg.
Stephanie continúa actuando y dando clases magistrales extensamente en todo el mundo en múltiples giras y festivales, y también ha lanzado tres álbumes en solitario: “Open Sky” (2020), “Colours of Spain” (2015) y “Bach, the Fly, and the Microphone” (2009). Stephanie fue miembro del aclamado Weimar Guitar Quartet, que lanzó su álbum debut en 2019, y también colaboró con Karen Gomyo en su álbum “a Piazzolla trilogy” con BIS Records.
Stephanie ha ganado numerosos premios en prestigiosas competiciones, incluyendo el primer premio en el concurso Hannabach Guitar, el Uppsala International Guitar Festival
FRANCIA
Raphaël Feuillâtre
Feuillâtre logró su avance internacional en 2018 al ganar el prestigioso Concurso Internacional de Artistas Concertistas de Guitarra de la Guitar Foundation of America (GFA). Ya se le consideraba una estrella en ascenso en Europa después de su victoria en el Concurso Internacional de Guitarra José Tomás Villa de Petrer en Valencia en 2017, y por sus actuaciones premiadas en concursos en España, Francia, Portugal y República Checa. Su participación en el circuito de competiciones lo puso en contacto con destacados intérpretes y maestros; sus premios en José Tomás y GFA, por otro lado, le brindaron oportunidades para grabar álbumes de recitales como solista y emprender giras por Europa, Brasil, Argentina, Estados Unidos y Canadá.
De 2015 a 2020, realizó estudios avanzados en el Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Música de París, donde tuvo como profesores a Roland Dyens y Tristan Manoukian. También ha trabajado durante varios años con Judicaël Perroy.
Su carrera recibió un impulso adicional cuando fue seleccionado como una de las “nuevas revelaciones” clásicas de 2021 por la Asociación Francesa de Derechos de Interpretación ADAMI.
PERÚ
JORGE CABALLERO
Jorge Caballero es reconocido como el único y más jóven guitarrista en ganar el prestigioso Naumburg International Competition Award, uno de los premios más prestigiosos y codiciados que se otorga a los músicos de cualquier instrumento. Su virtuosismo y musicalidad intensa lo han establecido como uno de los mejores de su generación, con el New York Times lo calificó como un “guitarrista magistral”. Ha actuado en numerosos lugares prestigiosos en todo Estados Unidos e internacionalmente, incluyendo Carnegie Hall y el Festival de Iserlohn en Europa. Además, ha colaborado como solista con diversas orquestas de renombre, como la Filarmónica de Los Ángeles y la Orquesta de St. Luke’s. Su discografía incluye grabaciones aclamadas por la crítica, desde obras clásicas hasta transcripciones propias.
Nacido en Lima, Perú, en una familia musical, Caballero comenzó su formación en su país natal y luego continuó en Estados Unidos, donde se graduó de la Manhattan School of Music. Actualmente reside en Canadá, donde enseña en la Universidad de Toronto.

On the day of the show, the box office will be open until 15 minutes before the show starts.
- The doors of Teatro del Lago open 45 minutes before the start of the show.
- Once the show has begun, access to the hall will not be allowed.
- Ticket exchanges will be made up to 48 hours before the show.
- Ticket returns are accepted up to 7 days prior to the show.
- The refund percentage will correspond to 50% of the total value of the ticket.
- No food or beverages are allowed in the room.

- For any show, we welcome children from 2 years of age. However, we recommend you to check the suggested age of each show before making your purchase.
All persons -including children-, must have the corresponding ticket to enter the theater.
It is the sole responsibility of the parents the behavior of the children during the course of the show.
We have a cloakroom service.
Upon entering the Theater and at each access door to the theater, you will find our team of guides, who, taking all the precautions corresponding to the existing sanitary measures, will help you find your seat and provide general information about the show and the available services.
We are very punctual. All our shows start at the announced time. This is why we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early, to avoid traffic at the entrance to the city and delays in finding your seat.
You can use them before and after the show, when you are not in the theater. Once in your seat, you must mute and lower the brightness of any type of electronic device (cell phone, tablet, camera, video, among others) because the light and sound of these, distracts and interrupts the artists on stage.
The program can be downloaded to your cell phone through a QR that will be available at the entrance of the room. You will be able to check it during the show.
