CONCERT
SCHUBERTIADA
Christian Senn, baritone
& Teatro del Lago Ensemble
19 AUGUST | 19 H
Tronador Auditorium
*Discounts for students and seniors (at the Theater box office).
This concert will take us to the heart of German romanticism through lyrical singing, with a repertoire by the composer Franz Schubert, led by the acclaimed Chilean baritone Christian Senn, and the Teatro del Lago Ensemble.
Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the composition of Die Schöne Müllerin D. 795 — the Beautiful Miller —, written in 1823 on texts by Wilhelm Müller (1794-1827), this series consists of 20 lieder or songs. It is a masterpiece of German Romanticism chamber repertoire.
Admirers of the Austrian composer will be able to enjoy the most outstanding pieces by Schubert who, despite his short life, left a great legacy that includes more than 600 secular vocal works (mainly lieder), seven complete symphonies, sacred music and a good number of works for piano and chamber music.
‘With a successful career in the world of opera, Christian Senn has performed on the most prestigious stages in the world under the direction of Riccardo Muti, Riccardo Chailly and Antonio Pappano, along with great specialists such as Giovanni Antonini and Fabio Biondi. He has interpreted baroque, classical and romantic operas, as well as masses and oratorios by various composers’.
Pro ópera.
