Festival de Jazz
“Piazzolla plays Piazzolla Centenario”
Escalandrum
12 febrero 20 horas

Starting this year and for two more years, the Teatro del Lago Foundation is working on a great and challenging project: the staging of the children’s opera “Pinocchio”. A work inspired by the history of this classic, in a local adaptation based on the traditions of southern Chile.
What you will be able to see in this “IMAGINE” exhibition are the theatres inspired by Pinocchio, built by students from 30 schools in the Metropolitan, O’Higgins, Maule, Araucanía, Los Ríos and Los Lagos regions, which are part of the first period of this project.
Each school received a story with the story of Pinocchio based on the opera along with a theatre kit per course. The kit included a program of online capsules that included: Construction of the theatre dictated by Museo Taller; theatrical and costume design by La Llave Maestra and lighting design with Claudia Yolin, added to a recording of the story by Paz Corral. All this material was worked on with the teachers and students during 2021 to finish with the design of a “Teatrino” per course with its proposals for curtains and costume design for the opera, which are part of this exhibition and will serve as inspiration for the integral design of the opera in 2022 and 2023.
The sample will be accompanied by the projection of a documentary that shows the process carried out with the schools and the community during this year.
This project has the support of Isa Intervial.
CONCERT
SUMMER CHAMBER
February 5th, 8:00 pm.
PRESENTIAL
Tronador auditorium
The Camerata Teatro del Lago and the students of the summer course of the Teatro del Lago School of the Arts called “Young musicians of the 21st century” will come together for an unforgettable summer concert interpreting the melodies of the composer Camile Saint-Saëns “The carnival of the animals” and a symphony by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Composed in 1886 and considered a Great Zoological Fantasy for two pianos and orchestra, “The Carnival of the Animals” brings to life a joyful musical fable where music and humor intertwine to associate each instrument with an animal. In this way, lions, elephants, chickens, fish, a swan and many more are represented in this work originally created by Saint-Saëns as a carnival joke.
In addition, the musicians will perform Mozart’s Symphony No. 25 in G minor, an early work by the composer full of drama and instrumental virtuosity.
A unique concert where the public will be able to enjoy the unique and harmonic beauty of a youthful Summer Camerata.
